Carol founded Fair Medical Management with a vision to improve patient care through service and solutions that support physicians' success. Her extensive work with doctors and specialists gives her unmatched insight on the business challenges physicians face and how to solve them. She maintains expertise in medical billing and practice management.
Since 1988, Carol has guided the development of successful practices and processed hundreds of thousands of claims that have increased practice profitability. Prior to founding FMM, she managed all facets of billing and contracts for the Colorado Center for Bone Research.
Abby Erickson
Account Manager
Abby is a specialist in medical practice workflow design and implementing solutions that allow doctors to be more productive and profitable. Her extensive experience comes from a lifetime of work in multiple aspects of healthcare management and business operations.
Before joining FMM, Abby was business manager for the Colorado Center for Bone Research. Prior to that, she managed administrative services for the Renal Division of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She was also a research grant writer for that division.
Kirk Mielenz

Kirk brings deep experience in business and management consulting to Fair Medical Management. He guides FMM's Practice Management suite of services where he taps his extensive experience in revenue assurance and business optimization to make physician practices more profitable.
In addition, he is a co-founder and managing director at RevGen Partners, a Denver-based business and technology management consulting company that specializes in revenue recovery, cost elimination and business optimization services.
Joe Bagan

Joe is a veteran strategist and business leader having worked in a number of executive leadership roles in both corporate and consulting environments. He guides the strategy and growth of Fair Medical Management.
In addition to his advisory role at FMM, Joe is chief executive of Sharklet Technologies, Inc., an early-stage life science company that is bringing to market the world’s first surface pattern that mimics the bacterially-resistant properties and skin structure of sharks. This pattern, called Sharklet™, may be imprinted onto a film and then applied to high-touch areas in healthcare settings or manufactured onto the surfaces of indwelling medical devices. The intent of Sharklet is to reduce the transference, migration, and survival of bacteria to protect patients from contracting hospital-acquired infections.
